Lawrence Stanley & Hope Carr I've been listening to this record for about a month on Bandcamp, liking what I hear every time, but realizing that I was missing a lot of sound given the low quality of online streaming. The 9 saxophonists and 2 percussionists (who also contribute marimba and vibraphone) are never on top of each other in these often-dramatic compositions that balance tight ensemble playing with extended-technique improvisation. The sound, in 24 bit, is superb. Favorite track: Cthylla's Love Theme.
