One of the most extraordinary piano duo recordings I’ve ever heard. And perhaps the key of it all is that it does not sound like a piano duo in any usual sense: there may be hints of dialogue, but what I hear mostly is rather a single, previously unheard voice, as if Agustí and Jordina and their respective instruments had somehow merged into a single unit. Their control, taste and sense of musical narrative are mesmerizing. And last, but certainly not least, kudos to Ferran Conangla: what sound!

This is just exceptional. Free, improvisational and challenging in places, but thoughtful and reflective in others. John Surman like in places (no higher praise than that). Superb! Incidentally the tape version looks gorgeous. I hope Arbori is made available on cassette too. Discord rules ok!
